{"id":61,"date":"2015-12-15T14:52:11","date_gmt":"2015-12-15T14:52:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.jrccfurnituredepot.info\/?page_id=61"},"modified":"2020-10-27T13:47:13","modified_gmt":"2020-10-27T18:47:13","slug":"our-history","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.jrccfurnituredepot.org\/ru\/about-us\/our-history\/","title":{"rendered":"OUR STORY"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>1985 \u2013 The JRCC Furniture Bank begins as community service, making connections between people who want to donate furniture and families in need.<\/p>\n<p>2007 \u2013 JRCC Furniture Bank moves into a 2,500 square feet warehouse donated by Ikor Corporation at Dufferin St. and Lawrence Ave. and hires its first dedicated staff member.<\/p>\n<p>2008 \u2013 Offering immediate pick-ups to donors, storing the furniture and providing a low cost delivery service dramatically increases the amount of furniture being donated and the number of families served.<\/p>\n<p>2011 \u2013 The donated space is no longer available. After an extensive search, a larger 13,000 square feet basement facility is found at 1416 Centre St. in Thornhill. With a matching donation of $500,000 from Dr. Marat Ressin, the JRCC Furniture Depot expands its\u00a0 facility, adding a freight elevator and two loading
